I just make the paintings

In this haunting self-portrait, the artist, Scott paints himself staring wildly at the viewer as he works on the first painting of the series, this being the last painting of Societies Cogs gives this series a circular twist as the artist in this, the last painting, is working on the first painting of the series. As the artist views back at the viewer in acknowledgment of that he knows he himself is only a cog in society and that they are aware that they just make the paintings.
